Good News Bad News

Ok, so what do you want first? Good news? Or Bad news?

How about the bad news.

They say a job is just a job, but for Joel it was his dream. He ACTUALLY enjoyed going to work every day, that crazy kid. Unfortunately, the world right now isn't making enough money to keep golf course architects employed, so we are now down to me working part-time. At a mall. With mostly shoplifters.

We're sort of in shock right now and we know that there is a bigger plan for us, but right now it is a big hit of emotions. Health Insurance. Mortgage. Utilities. Starbucks. At least most of our disposable debt is paid off. We'll get through this, but as I've said all day, it's just really sad to see someone who truly loved what they did lose that part of themselves.

Such is life.

So for the good news.

Pregnant!

We will be welcoming a new family member this February...and didn't I just mention we have lost our health insurance? This might be one pricey baby, but we're excited nontheless!

So to all the crazy life changes that have happened to anyone, this blog is for you.

Oh wow, congrats on the pregnancy you guys!! It might be crazy times for you, but nothing in the world matters more than family.

That being said, losing your job suuuuuucks. I am so sorry, Joel. It seems like half the LA's I know have been laid off. I was beside myself when I lost my job because its not just a job, it's who we are. Things will turn around soon though, they have to.

Please call if you ever want to chat. I would call you, but I lost your number months ago.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the cousins get to live close to each other. Regardless, I'm sure everything will work out. They always do.

Talk about a bittersweet time....A new baby is pure sweetness, but losing a job you loved?!?!? (how many people can say they had a job that covered the bills and they liked it?!?!) I will be praying that a peace that surpasses all understanding guards your (emotional) hearts and minds!

Congrat's again on the new baby! Such amazing little miracles!

Thanks everyone! Things will be fine. We have some dream scenarios building right now, so I'll keep it all posted!

And Christa, no to the Arby's. I WILL NOT GAIN 55 POUNDS THIS PREGNANCY.

Did you hear that everyone? Take that cheeseburger out of my hands if you see me eat one!

Wow, we were in the exact same boat! Doug lost his job right before our baby was born last October. It most certainly will all work itself out. Congrats and all the best to you!!
