Cutting The Fat
Netflix is cancelled.
DVR is gone. Cable is gone.
We're filing for WIC. We've contacted the mortgage company. We're meeting with a lawyer about health insurance.
Jobs have been searched and some have been applied to.
Sure it's been busy, but the best part? It's a Wednesday afternoon and Joel, Sophia and I got to go take a walk. Together.

Alisa looked into what would happen if we had to get on food stamps a while back when we thought the pool industry would tank. We'd get several hundred more a month than what we currently budget for and spend.

Remember, you guys are the real reason all these assistance programs exist. Not the folks who make a career out of living on the government teat from cradle to grave. Stay strong and remember, if all else fails you probably just need MORE COWBELL!!!!

Oh - and get rid of the TV completely, turn the AC up to 76, cancel the land line, shower every other day, wash clothes only on cold, and you're livin' like a Chiltin' :)
(and trust me - the TV decision is NOT by choice, but it's been much easier than expected)
