36 Weeks
Tomorrow begins my 37th week of pregnancy, but as of yesterday, I had my fun exam for a certain Strep B test and to see how I've progressed.
And progressed I have.
I am 2 centimeters dilated and 50% effaced. I am not exactly sure what the effacement means, but the 2 centimeters still makes me cringe knowing that I will reach to 10 before little Freddie is born. 10 centimeters. For all you readers out there who haven't gone through labor, pull out a ruler. That's what a child has to make his journey through. 10 centimeters.
I am measuring at 41" from the exterior of my belly, which as told by the doctor means I'm having a large baby. Shocker. Sophia was 9 pounds and 2 weeks early. However, I don't feel as big as I was with her, so I'm hoping it's all just medieval calculations and really he'll be a nice, plump 7-8 pound box of chocolates.
And my most exciting news of this pregnancy? I have only gained 21 pounds. Typically I wouldn't brag so much, but again, with Sophia, I GAINED 55 POUNDS. I still hadn't lost the weight from when I became pregnant again so the fact that I've gained only half of that makes me very, very, very proud.
Arby's and McDonald's lost some business from me these past 9 months.
My next appointment is next Friday. My guess is that I go into labor either this Saturday since it's a full moon, or February 9th.
Any other guesses?

2/5/10 that's this math teacher's guess.
I don't care when he comes, I just want him to come soon! I can't wait to meet Freddy!!!
I vote for "full moon"! Trisha
Better watch the barometric pressure too...That's what brought Drew!
