New Child

On Tuesday I just couldn't take it any longer.

Literally, Sophia's hair was the LONGEST I could stand it. So before dropping her off at my friend's house for a day of playing with babies, dolls and her sweet lover Roscoe, I took her to Cookie Cutters to chop off that ratty mop of hers.

The idea of Cookie Cutters is brilliant. Pink cars. Slides. Movies. For the behaved child, it's a treat of a time for a haircut. However, Sophia is not like other children when it comes to her hair. She could run into an outer corner of a wall and bust her lip, eye and nose and laugh it off, yet when we touch her hair with a bobby pin, she screams and cries with giant crocodile tears. Giant. Probably another reason why I waited so long.

Through tears, screaming, Shrek 2, lolipops and a new hair bow, we made it. It was worse than taking her to the doctor for shots, but look at the results. Isn't she a cutie pie?

This picture was taken at my friend Missy's adorable, cottage-like house and while yes, I wish it was my own home, sadly, it's not. It's sort of becoming my second one though and that gets me through my house fix.
